Fields of Mistria Greenhouse: Placement & Layout Guide

Plan your Fields of Mistria greenhouse location, entrance, storage routes, and interior. Use a five-point checklist and review Water Sprite Statue placement.

A greenhouse deserves a place in the farm plan before it receives a decorative courtyard. Its value comes from creating a dependable growing space, so the surrounding route should connect that work to storage and the rest of the farm rather than turning it into an isolated destination.

NPC Studio’s third major update notes confirm three core facts: greenhouses are purchased at the Carpenter’s Shop, crops inside grow year-round, and furniture can be placed inside. The same official notes say the “Upgrade the Carpenter’s Shop” questline must be completed to unlock greenhouses. This guide does not state blueprint costs, materials, footprints, or crop-profit rankings; check the current in-game interface for those details.

Choose the route before the view

Place the greenhouse on a route you already understand. A good candidate sits between the farmhouse or main entrance and a crop or storage area. That turns a greenhouse visit into part of a loop instead of a detour across an unrelated decorative zone.

Sketch three nodes: greenhouse entrance → crop supplies → next daily destination. If those nodes can be connected without crossing an animal enclosure or weaving through furniture, the location is likely workable. If the route ends at the greenhouse and forces you to retrace every step, try another edge of the farm.

Reserve an arrival area outside

Leave a small, readable arrival space outside the entrance. This is where the main path can widen, storage can sit nearby, and later decoration can signal that the greenhouse is a destination. Avoid surrounding the entrance with permanent-looking detail before you have used the route for several in-game days.

The arrival area does not need to be large or symmetrical. It only needs to keep the doorway visible and prevent fences, trees, or furniture from turning the last few steps into a bottleneck. If you want a formal garden later, build it around the route rather than across it.

Give indoor furniture a job

Because NPC Studio confirms that furniture can be placed inside greenhouses, you can use the interior for more than rows of plants. Start with a functional purpose: a visual marker for a crop group, a calm pause between beds, or a small organizing corner. Keep the walking line clear before adding a complete furniture set.

Treat every decorative piece as movable. A year-round growing plan may change as your priorities change, and the interior should be able to adapt without dismantling a finished scene. The goal is a greenhouse that remains pleasant while its planting plan evolves.

Decide whether automation belongs inside

NPC Studio’s v0.14.1 notes confirm that Water Sprite Statues can function inside greenhouses. That establishes compatibility, but it does not justify repeating an unverified watering radius or an “optimal” grid here. Inspect the current item description and test coverage in your own greenhouse before finalizing beds around a statue.

If you plan to use one, mark the statue as a movable system node in the planner rather than drawing exact coverage. Build the crop arrangement only after you have confirmed its current behavior in your version. This keeps the guide useful even when balance details change.

Put your greenhouse into the full farm layout guide, then test its relationship to crops and storage in the interactive farm planner.

Greenhouse placement checklist

  • Does the greenhouse join an existing route rather than create a dead end?
  • Is there a clear arrival area outside the entrance?
  • Can nearby storage support the crops or supplies you actually use there?
  • Is the interior path readable before furniture is added?
  • Have you checked current blueprint details and any automation range in your own save?
